Shift: Study for Bronx Neighborhood
Paper, glue, powdered graphite, chalk snap line, scraped-away paint, brick, exposed wood column
Created in response to urban change and development taking place in the Bronx. Paint was scraped away from the brick lintel of a former window to highlight that the window had been bricked-over and closed off many years prior. The scraped-away paint was re-adhered to the opposing wall of the gallery to highlight what had been there and changes that have taken place over time in this area.
