Architectural intervention with scraped paint, pins, snap chalk line
This installation chronicled the building’s history by highlighting two windows that had been covered-over as the building changed form and use. The gallery wall was cut open to reveal a window that had recently been concealed by new walls. Paint was scraped from the arched lintel of what was once an exterior window –this old window was now embedded in the building’s interior. The scraped paint was adhered to the wall around the newly created aperture to point to the history of changing use.
