Fenestration II
Fenestration II
Plaster on existing sheetrock, wood, metal, hardware.

Series of plaster arches made in-situ on the gallery walls. These arches reference the window ornament of a handful of buildings near the gallery which have been recently demolished or are slated for demolition.

These arches were made with a nearly extinct method of mold-making, whereby the mold gets run in place using wet plaster. This technique is used today mainly for architectural restoration --thus these forms were made using the language of repair.
