This solo exhibition was created in gallery building that had formerly been a Jewish Stone Monuments business on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The exhibition memorialized the site—revealing the literal layers of history beneath the surface of the gallery walls—and the Lower East Side’s rapid developer-driven change.
